Now let me preface this by saying that I’ve been doing fine. I am doing well both physically and emotionally. You don’t have to worry about my health. I take great pains in order to take care of myself. I have been slow in terms of blog posts because of how busy my life has been for me. I’ve been working two different part-time jobs, albeit jobs where I have a tremendous amount of flexibility in scheduling. On top of that, I have been focusing a lot on my coding classes. By the time you’re reading this, I should be near completion of my first coding project.
I have been doing my coding classes for five months now. Prior to that, I have never coded before. I never had the chance to code back in high school and I never took the opportunity to code in college. This is all new to me, yet the more time I spend learning, the quicker I understand it. Right now I am just learning the basics of HTML and CSS. After that, I’m moving on to Javascript as soon as the new year comes around. After that, I eventually want to learn UI/UX design. It’s a tremendous opportunity for me and I’m highly invested now. It’s a skill I’ve always wanted to learn and I’m glad I’m learning it now.
With all of that said, this does not mean I am abandoning my blogging. Quite the opposite, I want to continue Interesting Things You Should Know About. I want to make sure each blog post is well-researched, evidence-based, and thoroughly thought out. However, a lot of the things I want to blog about require more research and more time to write on my part. As a result, it takes much longer to write, but that’s the trade-off you have to make when it comes to making something worthwhile. I have a lot of ideas I want to write about but little time to actually commit to them. As a result of my busy schedule and other personal obligations, I’m going to be taking a bit of a hiatus, at least until November.
